Welcome

Based in Overton, Hampshire, TVTVTG is a social and support group for the Transgender community in the Thames & Test Valleys. We hold monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at St. Luke's Hall in Overton from 7.30 pm. It is a friendly, safe venue where all diversities within the Transgender community are welcome; this naturally includes their partners and supporters.

If you are new to ‘stepping out’ we offer the perfect location where you can feel safe, secure and welcome. Alternatively if you have experiences to share and would like to join us you are more than welcome as we seek to enhance the opportunities for the local Transgender community to meet and interact.

At TVTVTG we hope to foster a friendly atmosphere that offers an opportunity for free gender expression and to provide a safe, welcoming environment that permits people with gender-based anxieties to step outside the often lonely confines of the self imposed "closet".
We meet on the First Wednesday evening of each month at the spacious and comfortable St Luke's Hall, Overton.
Our evenings run from 7.30 - 10.30 pm.  You are welcome to come and go as you please during these time.

This meeting has been running now continuously (save for the COVID pandemic)  for over 25 years under various changes of management and a change of venue, originally meeting in Wolverton Village Hall near Kingsclere.

Gender Differences

We want our members to feel able to express their gender differences freely, without fear of ridicule or intimidation. Socializing with other trans people helps to build confidence and reduce anxieties. So why not come and make friends? Our aim is one of inclusive participation, so we welcome non-transgender friends and partners who wish to attend and show their support.

FtM and MtF

Most of our regulars are MtF but we'd like to assure all FtM trans people that they are very welcome to attend. We'd love to see more of you! Please get involved.

A Request for Courtesy

We ask visitors to our social evenings to show dignity and respect to all of our members and guests, so overt intimacy, extreme dress or predatory behaviour will not be accepted.

Entrance Fee For Our Monthly Evenings

We have built up a stable and friendly group over the years, and hope that it will continue for many years to come. 2024 will see social evenings at a very reasonable cost of £7 per visitor. Any surplus fee money helps to even out attendance fluctuations, ensuring continued social events. As with many groups, we do rely on regular attendance to pay for the cost of hiring the hall, and this is not cheap. Your continued support will ensure that the group has a stable future.

Severe Weather In Winter

If severe weather is forecast, we may have to cancel the event. Please check this website or our Facebook page. Any cancellation notice will be posted at noon.
